  • How private is it?
Your accommodation is nestled amongst 80 acres of privately owned mature native forest. Your privacy is absolutely assured. Occasionally if you are out walking our tracks however you may bump into us either doing maintenance or checking traps.
  • Is it safe?
New Zealand has no snakes or large wild animals. You will hear native birdsong all day and occasionally at night. You might also hear a noisy Possum. As we are surrounded by working farms and sound travels far, you will hear the odd cow and farm vehicles. For the safety of all concerned, it is important to follow the safety guidelines and terms that you find in our booking terms and in your welcome guide on site. We have a good first aid kit with basics supplies, located under the daybed in Piwakawaka and in the low locker in Korimako, if you have a minor mishap, otherwise Taupo has an afterhours medical centre and Hospital. Whilst we encourage you to turn off your cellphone, we recommend you bring one, just incase. We have three point plugs for charging.
  • How much does it cost and who can stay?
The cost is $399 NZD inc gst for one night. This rate applies for any weekday, weekend day or public holiday. There is no minimum night requirement. This price is for two people only as we cannot accommodate extras. Dogs are not allowed due to the sensitivity of our forest and the risk of interference with our predator traps and bait stations. For an extra $50 NZD per night per couple breakfast provisions can be provided.
  • What time is check in and check out?
Check in is from 2pm and check out is before 12pm. If you can please message us your approximate arrival time.
  • Is food provided or do we bring our own?

  • Can I drive to the Pod house and Cabin?
